When Ambassador Sam Neill came to POW
The Chairman of the Foundation, Tom O'Callaghan invited Sam, along with
Peter Garret MP and Randwick Councillor Robert Belleli to visit the medical
imaging department. They were shown the new Interventional Neuroradiological
procedure which can repair cerebral aneurysms without the need for surgery.
All eyes were on Sam, and of course Professor Marcus Stoodley and Dr Jason
Wenderoth. Sam was gracious, interested and such a gentleman. He met with many
members of staff in the medical library after a short tour of the hospital.

The Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation Race Day
The new year got off to a busy start for the Foundation. On January 2nd 2006
Randwick Race Course incorporated the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation Gift
Race into one of its race days. The Foundation invited along its board of
directors, ambassadors and others who have provided support to the Foundation
over the past year. It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all who attended. The
horse that won our race was owned by the well known trainer Gai Waterhouse.
Thank you to Randwick Racecourse, the AJC, Karla Simpson (AJC sponsorship
coordinator) and all who attended for making it such a wonderful day.
