Health Promotion

The Foundation is committed to emphasising health and well-being and this is a core focus of all of its activities and initiatives. Despite its heavy exposure to the negative effects of disease and health problems, the Foundation is inspired by the prospect of health preservation.

Our considerable support in the areas of research and education goes a significant way towards assisting the promotion of health, through the discovery of new insight, techniques and knowledge of diseases.

Specifically, The POW-TV channel is programmed into every television within the hospital which promotes health, assists in the direct care of our patients and promotes both the foundation and the hospital. This has enabled PoWHF to be seen by all patients, visitors, relatives and staff.

We hold community talks and engage our medical specialists to speak on radio and television.

'Your Health Your Hospital' is an annual series of five talks informing the community of relevant and interesting health developments. On our website we provide health facts and information to support patients care.
