Are you thinking of organising a fundraising event on behalf of the POW Hospital? We can offer advice in many areas:
- Promotion and publicity
- Creative input
- Professional guidance
- Direction in the sourcing of auction and raffle items
- POWH signage at your event
- A representative of the hospital to speak at your event
- Sponsorship and donation direction
The only areas our team are unable to help you with are securing audience numbers for the event or selling merchandise. As a small team we do not have the resources required for such tasks.
You may nominate where and how the money you raise is spent, or if you prefer, it may be donated to a general account. General account funds go to the most urgent needs of our hospital at the time e.g. equipment, research or general care of patients.

Fundraising Authority
When you have made your decision on how you would like to raise funds, you will need to contact the Foundation office who will look at your concept and issued with an authority to fundraise for the Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick.
It is a legal requirement to have this authority to hold an event on behalf of any charity. We will issue you a letter of endorsement which shows the authenticity of your event and urges any potential sponsors to offer their support.
It is important to note that anytime the Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick or the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation is promoted or even mentioned in promotional literature, it must be approved by this office before publication.
